Abstract
Using primary data collected from MSME owners across selected districts of Uttar Pradesh, the study employs a quantitative research design to analyze the relationship between DFS adoption, financial inclusion indicators (access to credit, savings, digital transactions), and firm performance (sales growth, profitability, and operational efficiency). Statistical tools such as correlation and regression analysis are applied to test the proposed hypotheses.
The findings indicate that higher adoption of digital financial services significantly enhances financial inclusion among MSMEs. Furthermore, financial inclusion positively influences enterprise performance. The study also reveals a mediating role of financial inclusion in strengthening the relationship between DFS adoption and MSME performance. The results highlight the policy relevance of digital financial ecosystems in promoting inclusive and sustainable business growth in emerging economies.
The study contributes to the growing literature on fintech-driven financial inclusion and provides practical implications for policymakers, financial institutions, and MSME stakeholders in Uttar Pradesh and similar developing regions.
