Abstract
To resolve these inefficiencies, this work implements a unified framework utilizing finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate component structural integrity, alongside mould flow simulation software to predict melt behavior, shrinkage, and warpage. The simulation data directly informs the tool design architecture, optimizing critical parameters such as runner balancing, gate placement, and conformal cooling channel geometry.
Results demonstrate that embedding advanced engineering simulations prior to tool fabrication mitigates common defects like sink marks and weld lines while significantly reducing cycle times. This integrated approach establishes a robust, predictive methodology for manufacturing high-quality plastic components with minimized time-to-market and lower production costs.
