Abstract

Budgeting is an indispensable component of financial management that enables organizations to plan, allocate, monitor, and control financial resources effectively. An efficient budgeting system assists organizations in achieving financial stability by supporting informed decision-making, minimizing unnecessary expenditures, and improving operational efficiency. The present study examines the budgeting practices followed by Fashion Care Private Limited and evaluates their influence on the organization's financial performance. The research primarily focuses on understanding the budgeting process, employee participation, budget monitoring, cost control, resource allocation, and their relationship with financial outcomes.

The study adopts a descriptive research design and utilizes both primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through a structured questionnaire from employees involved in budgeting and financial management, while secondary data were obtained from company records, books, journals, and published literature. Statistical tools including percentage analysis, Chi-square test, correlation analysis, weighted average analysis, ranking analysis, and ANOVA were used to analyze the collected data. The findings indicate that systematic budgeting practices positively influence cost management, financial planning, operational efficiency, and profitability. The study concludes that an effective budgeting system strengthens financial discipline and significantly contributes to the long-term financial performance of the organization.
