Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is a malignant soft tissue sarcoma that is believed to originate from primitive mesenchymal cells that typically differentiate into skeletal tissue. However, these tumors can also arise in other types of tissue and any anatomic area. RMS is the most common soft tissue sarcoma diagnosed in children; only 1% to 2% of these cancers are found in adults.

Here, we reported a patient who came to the hospital with a chief complaint of H/O swelling over the right lower limb for 2.5 years. As narrated by the parent, the child was alright 2.5 yr back when they noticed a swelling diffuse over the posterior aspect of the right lower limb, reddish in colour, progressively increasing in size to around football size currently. Chief complaint of pain in the region of swelling, with no discharge. Parents noticed a significant increase in size in the past 1-2 months. The child was taken to multiple hospitals for the same, but no improvement was noted. After being admitted to the hospital patient undergoes a significant diagnostic evaluation, such as a CT Scan of the abdomen and pelvis region, an MRI, bone marrow report and Histopathology reports reveals case of high-grade rhabdomyosarcoma.
