Abstract

Pantheism and retreat into privacy are significant literary and philosophical tendencies inmodern pory across the world. This study explores how these two concepts originate from Wordsworthian Romanticism and evolve through modern poets across different cultural contexts. It examines their presence in English, Irish, African, American, Asian, and Bengali poetry along with critical theoretical perspectives such as ecocriticism, post-colonialism, deconstruction, psychoanalysis, feminism, and Marxism.
