Abstract

Investment behaviour and financial decision-making have become increasingly significant in today's dynamic financial environment, particularly among young investors who are actively participating in diverse investment avenues. Understanding the behavioural dimensions that influence investment decisions is essential for promoting sound financial practices and enhancing long-term financial                well-being.                       This                     study,            titled                                         " Behavioral Dimensions of Investment and Financial Decision-Making: Evidence from Young Investors in Bengaluru Urban," aims to examine the investment behavior and financial decision-making patterns of young investors in Bengaluru Urban.

The study focuses on understanding the level of awareness regarding various investment avenues, investment preferences, utilisation patterns, and the influence of demographic factors such as age, educational qualification, and monthly earnings on investment behaviour and financial decision-making. Primary data will be collected through a structured questionnaire administered to young investors, while secondary data will be sourced from journals, books, reports, and other credible publications. Appropriate statistical tools such as descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, ANOVA, correlation, and regression analysis will be employed to analyse the data and test the proposed hypotheses.

The findings of the study are expected to provide valuable insights into the behavioural aspects influencing investment decisions among young investors. The research will contribute to the existing body of knowledge in behavioural finance and offer practical implications for financial institutions, policymakers, educators, and financial advisors in designing effective financial literacy initiatives and investment awareness programmes.
