Abstract

मानव सभ्यता की प्रगति में पांडुलिपियों का योगदान अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण रहा है। पांडुलिपि का अर्थ है हाथ से लिखी पुस्तक या ग्रंथ। छपाई की तकनीक आने से पहले सभी धार्मिक, साहित्यिक, वैज्ञानिक और ऐतिहासिक ज्ञान पत्तों, ताड़पत्रों, भोजपत्रों, चमड़े अथवा कपड़े पर हस्तलिखित रूप में सुरक्षित किया जाता था। भारत में पांडुलिपि परंपरा प्रथम शताब्दी ईस्वी से लेकर आधुनिक काल तक लगातार विकसित होती रही।
