Abstract

The Information Technology (IT) sector is one of the major contributors to India's economic growth, exports, employment generation, and technological innovation. This study evaluates the performance of the Indian IT sector with particular reference to Infosys and Genpact. It analyses stock performance, financial stability, operational efficiency, market position, technological innovation, and investor perception using secondary data collected from company annual reports, financial statements, industry publications, and stock exchange reports. The findings indicate that both companies possess strong growth potential, while Infosys demonstrates comparatively superior market performance, revenue growth, and investor preference, making the IT sector an attractive long-term investment destination.
