Abstract

Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) is an important medicinal plant used in traditional medicine systems. This review focuses on the pharmacognostical and phytochemical characteristics of Guduchi. Information was collected from various scientific sources including journals and textbooks. Pharmacognostical evaluation highlights its distinct morphological and microscopic features, while phytochemical studies indicate the presence of bioactive compounds such as alkaloids, glycosides, and terpenoids. These constituents contribute to its wide range of therapeutic activities. The review concludes that Guduchi is a valuable medicinal plant with significant pharmacological potential.
