Research writing is an essential component of higher education as it helps students develop analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and academic communication abilities. Despite its importance, many beginner researchers experience difficulties in selecting appropriate topics, organizing ideas systematically, conducting literature reviews, applying citation styles correctly, and maintaining academic integrity. The present paper aims to simplify the process of research paper writing by providing practical and systematic guidelines suitable for novice researchers.

The study explains the standard structure of a research paper, including title selection, abstract preparation, introduction, literature review, research methodology, results and discussion, conclusion, and referencing. It also discusses common challenges faced by beginners, such as plagiarism, lack of clarity in writing, improper citation practices, and limited understanding of research design. The paper is conceptual in nature and is based on secondary data collected from academic writing manuals, APA guidelines, scholarly articles, and university resources related to research methodology and academic writing practices.
