Abstract

This research presents the end-to-end design, nu-merical modeling, manufacturing optimization, and analytical framework for fused filament fabricated thermoplastic nano- composites. While rapid prototyping via Fused Deposition Mod-eling (FDM) offers geometric versatility, unreinforced polymers exhibit mechanical limitations under tensile loading. This in-vestigation evaluates short carbon fiber (CF) reinforcements em-bedded in Polylactic Acid (PLA) matrix. Destructive physical testing was conducted exclusively on PLA across three distinct material configurations: Neat PLA (Base), PLA-CF 5 wt%, and PLA-CF 10 wt%.
