Abstract

Persistent tendon conditions, such as lateral and medial epicondylitis (commonly known as Tennis and Golfer’s Elbow), can severely restrict joint movement and diminish a patient's overall quality of life. A significant hurdle in the recovery process is the difficulty of maintaining consistent, remote supervision during a patient's daily activities when a physical therapist cannot be present. To address this, the current research introduces an automated, IoT-integrated rehabilitation architecture designed for the systematic management of joint healing. The system utilizes a multi-functional wearable sleeve that tracks vital physiological data, including muscular activity and epidermal temperature, to evaluate limb health in real time. Beyond monitoring, the device provides active therapeutic interventions through mechanical massage and thermal therapy, while also featuring a safety alert system to notify users of excessive muscle tension. Ultimately, this framework offers an economical and streamlined solution for tracking physical progress, which aims to enhance clinical outcomes and improve safety standards within the smart healthcare industry.
