Abstract

The rapid growth of digital technologies has significantly transformed recruitment practices, with social media platforms emerging as powerful tools for talent acquisition. This study examines the effectiveness of social media platforms in recruitment by analyzing their impact on hiring efficiency, candidate reach, and overall recruitment outcomes. The research is based on a descriptive design, using both primary and secondary data. Primary data was collected through structured questionnaires from 32 respondents, including students and working professionals. The study evaluates awareness, usage patterns, benefits, and challenges associated with social media recruitment. The findings indicate that social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram, play a significant role in modern recruitment by offering cost-effective, faster, and wider access to candidates. However, challenges such as fake job postings, privacy concerns, and lack of verification mechanisms reduce their effectiveness. The study concludes that while social media recruitment is a valuable and growing trend, its success depends on proper usage, awareness, and implementation of reliable systems.
