Abstract

This research report examines the evolving landscape of consumer buying behaviour in the context of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The rapid integration of AI technologies into e-commerce platforms, financial applications, and digital retail ecosystems has fundamentally transformed the way consumers discover, evaluate, and purchase products. This study investigates the extent to which AI-powered tools such as recommendation engines, chatbots, personalisation algorithms, and predictive analytics influence consumer decision-making processes.

Primary data was collected through a structured questionnaire administered to 50 respondents comprising students, working professionals, and business owners. The findings indicate that a significant majority of consumers are influenced by AI-driven recommendations, with 76% of respondents having made at least one AI-influenced purchase. Additionally, the study highlights growing adoption of AI-based financial management tools among younger demographics. The report concludes with actionable recommendations for businesses, marketers, and policymakers seeking to leverage AI responsibly to enhance consumer experiences.

Keywords: Artificial Intelligence, Consumer Behaviour, E-Commerce, Personalisation, Digital Marketing, Buying Decision, Machine Learning, Recommendation Systems.
