Abstract

Green Chemistry, guided by its 12 principles, serves as a framework for a renewable future by designing chemical products and processes to minimize or eliminate the use and generation of hazardous substances. It achieves this through a systematic, intentional approach that promotes the use of renewable feedstocks like bio-based materials, reduces waste, increases energy efficiency, and considers the entire life cycle of a chemical, moving towards a more sustainable, circular economy and aligning with global goals like the UN SDGs.

KEYWORDS: Sustainable Chemistry, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Depolymerization, Waste Minimization, Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) Methods, Life-Cycle Thinking (LCA)
