Abstract

The study concludes that collective bargaining plays a significant role in preventing industrial disputes in selected industrial sectors of Western Odisha. The findings reveal that effective collective bargaining practices promote communication, employee participation, grievance resolution, and labour-management cooperation, thereby contributing to industrial harmony and reducing workplace conflicts. The statistical analysis confirmed a significant positive relationship between collective bargaining and industrial dispute prevention, indicating that organizations with stronger bargaining mechanisms are better able to maintain stable industrial relations. The study highlights the importance of strengthening collective bargaining processes through continuous dialogue, mutual trust, and collaborative problem-solving to ensure sustainable industrial peace and organizational effectiveness.
