Abstract

Human Resource Management (HRM) plays a pivotal role in shaping and sustaining the organizational culture of any enterprise. Organizational culture, defined as the shared values, beliefs, norms, and practices that govern how members of an organization interact and work together, is not an accidental phenomenon—it is the product of deliberate and strategic human resource initiatives. This paper examines the multifaceted relationship between HRM practices and organizational culture, exploring how recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, compensation, and employee relations collectively contribute to the cultivation of a productive, inclusive, and resilient organizational environment. Drawing on contemporary theoretical frameworks and empirical evidence, this study highlights how effective HRM serves as both a catalyst and a custodian of organizational culture. The paper concludes that organizations that strategically align their HRM practices with desired cultural values are better positioned to achieve competitive advantage, employee satisfaction, and long-term sustainability.
