Abstract

India plays a vital role in the international market and earns foreign exchanges by exporting coir products. Exporters have a variety of coir products — 15 types. India holds a prominent position in the global market. The Coir Board reports consistent growth in coir exports, reflecting strong international demand and expanding market opportunities. In this context, Coimbatore District has emerged as an important hub for the production and export of diversified coir products. This study examines the factors influencing the export market of coir and coir products in Coimbatore District.
